Is Healing Word spell good?
Cure Wounds might be the go-to spell for the party’s two-legged first aid kit, but what about when the target is unconscious and unable to actively consent to the Healing process or needs to be healed at a distance?
For those moments, you need Healing Word. Cure Wounds might have the edge regarding the amount of Healing it confers, but it is administered as laying on of hands. Fine for when you have the time and freedom to perform this, not so hot for when the world has turned to a ferocious whirlwind of sharpened blades and nasty-looking cudgels.
Its versatility, in many respects, makes up for its slightly less Healing ability every time.
