If you haven’t played Joking Hazard yet, it’s from the minds of twisted, but hilarious, comic Cyanide & Happiness and is an adult party game where you compete with your friends to finish an awful three-panel comic. Choose your judge wisely in this one! Let’s take a look at some games that will have you giggling just as hard.
If you’re a fan of Joking Hazard, you’ll know the game can be played over and over. However, you may feel the need to switch things up every once in a while, that’s why we’ve created the ultimate list of 5 games like Joking Hazard.
5 Games Like Joking Hazard
Superfight
Players: 3- 20
Playing time: 15 mins
Superfight is an endlessly fun party game all about superpowers and super problems. If you enjoy winning arguments, then you’ll probably be up to the challenge!
The deck contains 160 characters (white cards), and 340 powers and weaknesses (black cards). The objective is to be the player to win the most matches and you should mix character and superpower cards to make the best combination to win a match!
Feel free to argue why your mix is better than that of your competitors and if the group agrees with you, the match has been won! Expansion packs are available to allow for a larger group of players, and if you can argue your case, this game is the one for you!
Like Joking Hazard, it is an adult game based solely on humor and not designed for the over-sensitive.
Drawing Without Dignity
Players: 4- 12
Playing time: 30- 60 mins
Remember the laughter and jokes you had poking fun at your peers’ drawings during Pictionary as a kid? Well, this uncensored version is set to bring all the laughs but not without red faces too.
This party game is jam-packed with naughty clues which are guaranteed to see you and your deplorable friends showing their darker sides. Like Joking Hazard, this is another challenge aimed at the folks who are not easily offended.
To get started, the artist flips the timer and draws the given inappropriate clue for the rest of their teammates to guess, however, the other team will have a chance to use a cockblock card should they want to get in on the action and throw out a guess.
With 4 category cards, 150 premium playing cards, 12 cockblock cards, and a massive 670 inappropriate things to draw, there are a ton of replayability opportunities! Just make sure your chosen opponents are as disturbed as you are!
Exploding Kittens NSFW Deck
Players: 2- 5
Playing time: 10- 20 mins
When Exploding Kittens needed an expansion pack, the designers of the game didn’t hesitate to reveal their black humor and kindly blessed us with this filthy version that is clearly too horrific for the kid-friendly version.
If you’re not familiar with Exploding Kittens, it’s a simple setup of players drawing cards until somebody draws an Exploding Kitten, at which point they explode and are out of the game. In Exploding Kittens: NSFW Edition, you have more opportunities to be cruel to your peers, but your main focus should be to avoid exploding.
Similar to Joking Hazard, it’s full of entertainment but ruthless, and a fun fact is that it was made as a stand-alone game after so much popularity as an expansion pack. In a game full of luck, with a dash of strategy, you must get comfortable with betraying your friends as the winner is the last player left alive.
Cards Against Humanity
Players: 4- 30
Playing time: 30 mins
With immense fame since its birth in 2009, Cards Against Humanity rules are not a far cry from the famous Apples to Apples game. But you’ve guessed it, it’s another challenge like Joking Hazard that will reveal the filth and debauchery swirling around the minds of the players.
Cards Against Humanity sees players poke fun at every awkward or taboo subject including race, religion, politics, gender, poverty, torture, alcoholism, drugs, etc. One player begins by reading a black card which is usually a question or statement that must be completed while opposing players anonymously play a white card (choosing from their personal hand).
The player reads all answers to the group, greeted with either roars of laughter or gasps of horror. The same player then chooses their favorite answer and the player who selected that answer wins the round and so on. The winner is the most successful over all rounds.
What Do You Meme?
Players: 3- 20
Playing time: 30- 90 mins
Following on with the trend of humorous and shocking challenges, What Do You Meme? doesn’t disappoint. In a party card game looking directly at the social media generation, one player takes the role of judge and plays a photo card, after which all other players use a caption card to complete the meme.
Like in Joking Hazard, the judge decides the funniest pairing, and the participant who played the winning caption card wins the round. Choosing your caption card to fit the judge’s sense of humor is always a good idea, and this game focuses on laughter amongst your peers. What else could you possibly need?!
